Team Andrew Alleyne As Managing Director of Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc. Andrew is responsible for implementing the Bank's strategic plans, for directing the Bank's investment strategy and for managing a team of investment professionals. The Bank's investment strategy is focused on developing portfolios of investment grade securities, commodities, structured products, derivatives, hedge funds and private equity positions, that meet the Bank's long term objectives. Andrew has been with Dancap Bank since its inception in 2003. Under Andrew's management, Dancap Bank invests in a broad range of asset classes that are aimed at outperforming specific benchmarks throughout many different business cycles. He is also responsible for ensuring that the Bank’ s portfolios are invested in accordance with their guidelines and risk parameters and for managing regulatory and risk compliance with the Bank’s regulations. Prior to joining Dancap Bank, Andrew was Senior Manager and Chief Investment Officer, with Royal Bank of Canada (Caribbean) Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for managing a team of investment managers with approximately US$1.5 billion in assets under management. He oversaw the implementation of the Royal Bank's global investment strategy within the Caribbean. Prior to this Andrew was Vice President, Investments, with Great West Life Investment Management in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this capacity he was responsible for formulating investment policy and for the marketing of investment management services to some of Canada's largest pension funds. Andrew possesses a Master of Arts in Economics from York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from McMaster University, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Andrew has served on a number of professional associations, including past Chairman of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee, past President of The Manitoba Association of Business Economists, and Vice-President of The Barbados International Business Association (BIBA). Andrew is presently Chairman of the BIBA Banking Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors of London Life International Reinsurance Corporation.
Darren Treasure, CA, CFA As Senior Investment Manager for Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc., Darren is responsible for building, managing and monitoring the Bank's investment portfolios, as well as managing the investment team. Darren has implemented a comprehensive research process and many proprietary risk analysis tools which enables the Bank to make sound decisions. Under Darren's guidance, Dancap Bank invests in diversified portfolios that are aimed at outperforming specified benchmarks, throughout many different business cycles. The overall approach provides the flexibility to be opportunistic but must adhere to the approved portfolio guidelines. The portfolios focus on all asset classes and are managed both tactically and with a long-term strategic view. Darren has been with Dancap Bank since its inception and brings extensive experience to his role at Dancap Bank. As an Investment Manager with a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) for 4 years, Darren oversaw the investment management and operational aspects of the organization and was a Director of the company. It was here that he learned the skills of money management, disciplined investing and risk management, all of which skills are utilized within Dancap Bank. While employed Darren completed and obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. Prior to his time with the CTA Darren was the Financial Controller of a Barbados international bank. Darren's duties transcended all departments of the Bank, which enabled him to gain in-depth operational knowledge of the organization. Pursuit of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation was undertaken to compliment his extensive analytical skills. Darren possesses a Bachelor of Mathematics and his background in public accounting has provided him a solid foundation for analytical analysis and due diligence that can be applied to all aspects of business finance.
Roger Walkes, FCCA, CFA As an Investment Manager for Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc., Roger is responsible for research and due diligence on private and public equities, commodities, fixed income, currencies, derivative structured products and hedge fund investments. He is also responsible for the day-to-day trading of fixed income, equity and derivate investments. Nicole Isava As an Investment Manager for Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc., Nicole is responsible for research and due diligence on private and public equities, commodities, fixed income, currencies, derivative structured products and hedge fund investments. Prior to joining Dancap Bank, Nicole was a Derivative Investment Analyst with one of Canada's largest pension funds. Nicole's duties transcended all global derivative investments including a synthetic international equity portfolio, currency hedging, single stock options, and money market instruments. Prior to this role, Nicole was also a Proprietary Derivatives Trader for National Bank Financial in Toronto, Ontario. Nicole possesses a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada and has participated in the Trader-in-Residence program of the Allan H. Gould Trading Centre at McMaster. She has also completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a Level I Candidate in the (CFA®) Program.
Denise Penniston Denise is Financial Controller of Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc. In this role, Denise is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for the Bank.
Denise enjoys a multi-faceted position with the Bank, as in addition to the financial reporting function, she provides 'back office' support for the investment team, manages regulatory compliance with the relevant government agencies, and assists the Managing Director in office management.
Denise has worked in senior positions in the International business sector during the past ten years. Her previous assignment was as Accountant with another international bank. She is a member of the Certified General Accountants' Association of Canada, and is also a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. Andrea Gibson Andrea is the Assistant Financial Controller of Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc. In this role, Andrea is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in providing ‘back office’ support and in complying with regulatory filings. She also monitors the performance of the Bank’s custodians to ensure accurate and reliable reporting. Prior to joining Dancap Bank, Andrea was the Accountant for a privately owned bank in the International Financial Services Sector. She has completed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants professional program and is an affiliate and is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
Jabari Banfield Jabari joined Dancap Bank (Barbados) Inc. in October 2007 as a Financial Analyst. His responsibilities include, the performance of quantitative and qualitative research with respect to global economics and investment opportunities, the production of portfolio performance and risk monitoring reports, as well as, assisting the Investment Managers with matters pertaining to due diligence and general research.
